No data collection for the developer
The app does not connect to the developer's servers. popCalendar does not collect personal data, usage statistics, or calendar information for the developer. It has no advertising, analytics, tracking, or developer-operated account system.
The app runs in the macOS App Sandbox and can connect to the internet for Apple Maps location suggestions. Preferences, saved ranges, calendar sets, working-day settings, and personal background images stay locally on your Mac. Date browsing, calculations, backgrounds, and manual quick entry work offline.
Calendar access is optional
You can browse dates and calculate date ranges without granting calendar access. If you choose to allow access, popCalendar uses macOS calendar services to show and edit events from accounts already configured on your Mac. Any account syncing is handled separately by macOS and your calendar provider.
Working-day counts can use all-day events from holiday or time-off calendars you explicitly select. You can change calendar access in macOS privacy settings.
Location suggestions
Location suggestions are requested automatically after you type at least three characters in the event Location field. The text entered there is sent directly to Apple Maps to find addresses and places. Queries containing "://" or "@" are excluded. You can enter and save locations manually without choosing a suggestion, including when offline.
Apple handles Maps requests under its own privacy terms. popCalendar does not send calendar events, notes, saved ranges, personal background images, or analytics to the developer.
Sharing and other calendar apps
When you choose to copy a summary or image, it is placed on the system clipboard. When you save a calendar image, you choose its destination using the Mac's Save dialog.
If you choose an external calendar destination, popCalendar may pass the date or event details needed for the action to that application or website. Meeting links open when you click them. Those destinations handle information under their own privacy policies.
This website uses Plausible
popcalendar.app uses Plausible analytics to understand website visits and clicks on external links. This website measurement is separate from the Mac app and has no access to your calendar data.
Plausible provides traffic statistics such as pages visited, referral sources, device and browser types, and approximate location. It does not use cookies or persistent visitor identifiers. See Plausible's data policy for details about how it processes website analytics.
Language
This website saves your language choice and whether automatic language detection has already run in your browser. This functional storage is separate from analytics and is not used for tracking.
Contact
If you contact the developer, the information you choose to provide is used to respond to your request. Avoid sending private event details or other sensitive information.
